[15 Apr 2008|12:42am] kitkatkidd2004 Shadow Kingdom Many, many years ago, when the Animation World was still new, there was a magical quill that was constructed to bring 2D creations to life; a quill that brought ink and paper to flesh and blood. It soon came to be in the hands of the infamous Walt Disney and with it, he created Mickey Mouse, and an onslaught of characters. As he grew older, he knew that he wouldn't live forever, and gave his animators similar pens, but with less power. Only his pen could not only create, but it could destroy as well once a character came to life. When he passed, his team of creative animators, commonly known as the Nine Old Men, locked away the Master Quill and put a powerful spell on the container so that no one would be able to open it unless they had the power of fifteen forces, which combined, create the Rainbow Key. The nine of them split the fifteen forces, giving some power to commonly known characters from Disney history, and the rest to uncommon characters, to give to an heir when the time was right. Currently, there are fifteen girls who hold the powers: Minnie Mouse with the power of love, Snow White with the power of ice, Cinderella with the power of glass, Aurora with the power of gold, Ariel with the power of shell, Belle with the power of blossoms, Jasmine with the power of sand, Alice with the power of alabaster, Wendy with the power of dust, Elionwy with the power of illumination, Jane with the power of papyrus, Kida with the power of crystal, Meg with the power of bronze, Mulan with the power of bamboo, and Esmeralda with the power of silver. The characters that roam around the parks are not, as some people choose to believe, people in costumes. They live and belong to a second world, where characters and cast members live in harmony, called Shadow Kingdom. It is called Shadow Kingdom, simply because it is a shadow of the Real World. In Shadow Kingdom, time moves differently, and the characters are given about a day's rest in-between the hours of the Real World, where the parks are closed. In every land, every kingdom, every country, every town, there is a portal that transports the characters and other cast members from their homes to the tunnels of the parks. When a new member of the Real World decides to join the employment of the Disney company, they are granted a new home in the Shadow Kingdom with a portal that leads to their work location. Currently, there is a Darkness in Shadow Kingdom, and it's planning on destroying the happy civilization that was so cleverly created and taking control of the parks in the Real World. It wants to turn a world of happiness and dreams into a world of chaos and nightmares. It's planning on recruiting Disney Villains (both alive and dead) from the past Disney movies to help it on its quest to find the fifteen forces. With the Rainbow Key, it will open the chest that is home to the Master Quill and will create havoc and destroy the characters we have come to know and love. But Mickey Mouse will not stand for it. He has discovered the Darkness and its plan and is recruiting his own army out of friends, neighbors, heros and sidekicks, but the Darkness preys on the weak of heart, and can turn them against their friends. Now. The world at large is aware that there is more to life than humanity - they've known this for a long time. Human rights are more 'species rights', vampires walk amongst us, werewolves have PC terminology. Their children are educated with our children - sharing this world in harmony is the key - though we seem, still, to be a way off of that. For all the world has been aware of the preternatural for hundreds, if not thousands, of years, the world is far from peaceful in this regard (much like in every other regard). It's getting to be a hostile environment in some countries, and the world is collectively holding it's breath as things seem to be in a time of change. Supernatural legislation is being accused of being too harsh, and both shifters and vampires both want their respective species to no longer be considered diseases and be recognized as proper races and peoples. Experimentation on the supernatural has also been going strong and people are moving to have it halted, as much of it is harmful or seems to be. There are large groups of people boycotting a company which has boasted it's tireless search for a 'cure' for everything, stating it could be used as weaponry against them as a people at large. It's motivations are publicly pure, but the implications and morality are being challenged. (note: so far they haven't 'cured' anything.) In the midst of this lies a school with national independence. Quaesitis Academy. The Academy is not the only school of its kind - serving, as it does, both preternatural beings and 'normal' humans, but it is considered the top of them all. It's the oldest established, and has a long, detailed history and still remains strong today. It's the only one of it's kind with national autonomy, keeping it's roots deeply in the idea that they are there for the world, not for one part of it. Getting into the school or graduating from it will open doors for a person world wide. It's often thought that if a student comes from there--they can go anywhere and do anything they want. It's the epitome of prestigious. Contrary to it's popularity and the millions they could be making on opening the school up for larger numbers, the school also maintains it's motives towards it's students. The school presumably will eternally remain small, allowing all of it's students a very hands on, interactive learning environment. No one falls through the cracks here, and they mean to keep it that way. Live To Tell facebook RPG [06 Apr 2008|04:37pm] teammcdreamy Live to Tell There's this really cool special rp that's been going on for 3 years now. Yes, 3 years, that's a long time. Anyway, it's amazing, wonderful, friendly, fun. True story yo. It started off as a Degrassi rp, but has branched out to be so much more. We have some great storylines, and there's already tons of drama there with the characters we have, but we're ALWAYS willing to add more people. It's a facebook rp, just for the heightened security and all. But we have our own site for the rp just because we have all these added features. Like we've posted character bios on the site. There's a Gossip Girl feature that dishes all the latest drama and all. A Celeb gossip page, because we have some celebs in the rp, etc. The rp is generally focused in Toronto, but we're accepting California characters as well since there are a few people we have out in California. Eventually we may get more characters in Cali, and we might branch off to New York as well. We're currently working on a page for suggested characters, to help you come up with a face for your person that will work well with who we have. But really, we'll accept anyone that can para rp and will be active. Most Degrassi characters are taken, besides the newer Lakehurst characters. We recently just lost a Marco, if you're interested in him. We also have a handful of Disney characters faces used, so if you want to have a Disney face there's others that may have pictures with your person. We have some Nickelodeon characters as well. And Gossip Girl. And Instant Star. We also accept celebrities, they're typically not a big part of the rp and are basically used as "fillers" (characters who don't really get rped but are just there for comments and such on facebook), but celebrities can become main characters as well (we have a Justin Timberlake who is a main character now). Really, it's just a fun rp. You don't have to use a celebrities face, or anyone from a show. It could just be a friend of someone in the rp (like Laura Vasic for Darcy, Kara Lane for Manny). If you're interested, just go to the "join/register" link and fill that out. When you hit submit it's going to try and bring up your e-mail for you to e-mail the form to us. It has been seven years since the Trade Federation invaded the peaceful planet of Naboo. The Republic is slowly falling apart at the seams as Separatist groups begin to assert their power in a growing number of systems. The Jedi have been called upon by the Republic to maintain order but already their numbers are beginning to thin. Conflict after conflict is taking its toll on the noble order and dissent over the morality of using force to keep the Republic together has even begun to show within their ranks. The Jedi Council has done its best to keep the Order together. Despite the heavy burden laden on them by the Chancellor and the Senate they have continued their operations as usual. The Jedi continue in their role as guardians of peace and justice throughout the galaxy. How long they will be able to manage, however, is in question. The Virgillian Civil War, the Separatist Crisis and eventually the Clone Wars loom on the horizon. Worst of all, the Council has no chance to predict any of this. Their ability to sense the future has become clouded - a serious omen which lays heavily on them. The future of the galaxy is unclear. As a members of the Jedi Order and the Republic, it is your destiny to discover what the future holds. Twilight of the Force is a Republic Era RPG beginning half way through 25 BBY. It is currently canon compliant with the intention of breaking into an alternative timeline during the Clone War era.
